We've had a regular deluge since Friday afternoon. The rain is off and on, but mostly on. It makes it so fun for last minute Christmas shopping. We're going to have to build an ark here soon.
I would have to say that I prefer driving in the rain and walking in the snow. Rain is such a pain when you wear glasses and even the thought driving in the snow makes me shudder.

Airplane Park
This Airplane Park is located near our local International Airport right across from the locally famous hamburger joint (the one with the secret menu for locals). It is just a patch of green grass (no play structures) right under the flight path of incoming airplanes. Lots of blue Southwest airplanes fly in there. Also we get a fair share of 747’s and cargo planes. The Qantas A380 also lands there at approximately 9:30am every morning from Australia. However, A380’s have recently been grounded because of engine problems. The A380 is the largest commercial airliner and is a double-decker all the way across. They are BIG!
Anyway. n x 1.6 km (for n>1) and CED love the airplane park, but I’d have to say that CED is quite a bit more enthusiastic about going. He jumps when he’s excited and he jumps non-stop until we’re there. It is cute to see. We went to the airplane park a couple times in November (on Veterans’ Day) and also right before Thanksgiving. On Veterans’ Day, we also saw the only orange Southwest airplane out there. Remember how they all used to be the awful brown and orange? Well, they’ve painted all the orange airplanes blue except for one for nostalgia purposes. Of course, SWA has kept their specialty airplanes like the ones for the states and the Shamu airplanes. But, it was pretty special that we saw the only orange airplane since there is only one in the fleet now. JC, my sister the SWA flight attendant, says they call them corn dog airplanes.
