When Trogdor was born, he was a bit furry. That is, he had lanugo which is quite common in newborns. CED also was a bit a hairy on his shoulders when born, but not to the extent of Trogdor.
Trogdor was hairy about his shoulders and arms. But also on his forehead, cheeks and EARS!!!!

Take a gander at those furry ears. Furry hobbit ears. Okay. I know hobbit ears are not really furry, but hobbit ears are pointed.

| Martin Freeman (of Sherlock fame) as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. No furry ears here. |
Anyway. It's what I think when I look at Trogdor's ears. Furry hobbit ears. I know. No fur on hobbit ears. Maybe I got some of my fantasy species crossed or something to bring that image to my mind. Regardless, he's got some of the pointy ear thing going too. Just like a little hobbit. And to answer the question that his probably bouncing around your brain now, does he have fur on his feet? The answer is no.
Don't those ears look positively Elvish?
Anyway. Mad Scientist was telling Trogdor that the ladies probably wouldn't go for furry ears when he grew up so he should probably lose the fur. He's reluctantly complying and getting to be a bit of a baldy in the process. Knowing the hair patterns with the boys in our family, however, his hair will come back full force and start growing like a weed that I will avoid cutting until it starts growing down past his eyebrows. Right now, he's got a ways to go.
